Draft — being reviewed before launch. Questions: mnmncoda@gmail.com.
Who we are
tatted.me (booking, artist sites, payments) and tatted.studio (the design studio) are run by tatted.me (“we”). These terms apply to artists who use either service and to clients who book or pay through them. By creating an account, booking, or paying, you agree to them.
Accounts
- You must be 18 or older. Tattoo clients must meet the age the artist sets, which is never under 18.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
- One tatted.me account works on both tatted.me and tatted.studio.
For artists
- Your site, booking tools, shop and tatted.studio are free to use. You’re responsible for your work, your prices, your policies and following the licensing and health rules where you tattoo.
- The policies you set (deposits, reschedules, cancellations, refunds) are shown to your clients and are between you and them.
- Your handle (yourname.tatted.me) is yours while your account is active. We may reclaim handles that impersonate someone or break these terms.
Payments
- Card payments run on Stripe. To get paid by card, an artist connects a Stripe account (Stripe’s own terms apply). Money is paid to the artist’s bank by Stripe; tatted.me doesn’t hold it.
- Artists: each card payment carries a payments fee of 3.5% + $0.30, or 3.2% on card volume past $10,000 in a calendar month. It covers card processing, payouts and the booking service, and comes off the payout.
- Clients: card payments carry a booking fee of about 1.5% ($1 to $8), shown before you pay. Some artists cover it for you. The booking fee isn’t refundable unless the artist cancels.
- Artists may also take deposits their own way (for example Cash App or Venmo). Those payments are between the artist and the client, and tatted.me isn’t part of them.
- Refunds and disputes: refunds follow the artist’s posted policy and come out of the artist’s share. If a client disputes a card payment, we may take the disputed amount and Stripe’s dispute fee from the artist’s balance or future payouts.
tatted.studio and AI credits
- tatted.studio’s drawing, stencil, printing and reference tools are free. The AI tools use credits.
- Credits come from packs you buy, a free trial amount on sign-up, and card payments you receive through tatted.me (1 credit for every $50 paid to you by card). Credits have no cash value, can’t be transferred, and aren’t refundable — except that a failed AI request refunds its credits automatically. Bought credits don’t expire.
- AI results are generated by third-party models and are provided as they are. Check them before you use them on skin.
What you upload and create
- You keep the rights to your designs, photos and content. You give us permission to store, show and process them only to run the services for you (for example, to show your site or run an AI tool you asked for).
- Only upload what you have the right to use. Recreating another artist’s tattoo or copyrighted artwork is your responsibility; references are for inspiration unless you have permission.
- Photos of clients and their skin are personal data. Only upload them with the client’s permission.
- We may remove content that is illegal, infringes someone’s rights, or breaks these terms.
Not allowed
- Fraud, fake bookings, or taking payments for work you won’t do.
- Harassing clients or artists, or collecting their details for other purposes.
- Trying to break, overload or reverse-engineer the services, or using them to make content that’s illegal.
Ending your account
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Money owed to an artist for completed card payments is still paid out, less refunds and disputes.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep the services running, but they’re provided as they are, without guarantees of being uninterrupted or error-free. We aren’t party to the tattoo service between artist and client. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes and contact
We’ll tell you about material changes before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, USA. Questions: mnmncoda@gmail.com.
